Wasting ink

24 July 2004

95.
Today was spent in my study clearing my hard disk of accumulated photos. I save all the 'keepers' as hi-res TIFFs, and burn them to CD, following which they are filed away for the future. I try to do this at least once a week - but usually only get round to it once a month (I know I should probably do it every day... but there are only so many hours). I also take the opportunity to print some photos out, and this is what I was doing when the Boy started acting like the teenager he so nearly is... he got me so stressed out with his behaviour that I put a sheet of photo paper the wrong way round in the printer. I got an A4 sheet of running ink that even now, two hours later, has not dried. To top it all, my beloved Celtic just got beaten 4-2 by Chelsea in a friendly match in Seattle (this shouldn't really bother me, since, unlike Chelsea, Celtic don't have a Russian billionaire sugar-daddy who provides a £200 million transfer budget with which to splash out on new players each season). It would be nice to see some new players at Celtic Park this season - Robbie Keane and Henri Camara have been linked to the club, but so far no-one has arrived - it's getting a little bit worrying.

Our only son was abducted by aliens at 14 years & it wasn't until he quoted some of our parental logic back at us at age 19 that we knew he had been returned to earth...safely !!

Ok at the risk of being a hostage to fortune, I've a feeling Chelsea's millions won't buy them a trophy this coming season.

everyone and anyone has been linked with a move to Celtic if you believe the press, Rivaldo,Hasslebaink and even Alan Shearer who's due to retire next May!

I hope your photos have dried heheh

Another tough day, try to take the coming teenage years with a grain of salt.
Even better try to remember how you behaved at his age,he has your genes.

That young man with that handsome face could not possibly do anything to stress you out, you must be kidding. Would you believe that I had five teenagers at one time and I survived! Now I need to get busy and save my "keepers" as you do.

I feel your pain regarding the sports team -- I am a Met fan from way back. That probably means nothing much to you, but ask anyone on the east coast of the US and they will chuckle at the mention of my boys. As for your printing error.... yikes, that's a lot of ink you have to contend with. By the way, I really enjoy your photos... and I also like your style sheet.

Sorry about your team. Maybe it is time to light some candles again.
