Travelling for the first time to south america, we were pleasantly surprised by Peruvian cuisine and how much it resembles south-east asian cooking. First, since most lunch dishes are served with plain white rice, we felt at home right away! :) Next, we discovered the stews of various sorts, fried fishes, wonderful soups, and yes, big servings of rotisserie chicken. Of course, we ignore the rule of not eating raw, uncooked or cold food when travelling -- we love ceviche!
