The very first thing we noticed in Greece was not greek coffee nor turkish coffee nor any sort of expresso. It's Cafe Frappe -- a frothy cold glass of coffee, available in almost all restaurants and coffee houses. Nescafe even has an instant cafe frappe shaker. We know iced coffee is popular around the world (after all, Starbucks has frappucino...) but cafe frappe? We have never seen it elsewhere other than Greece!
Ok. First row last photo; this is 'bamya' in Turkish. A traditional grand ma dish. The second one this is a kind of dolma. You can make it with aubergine, pumpkin, vine leaves. With vine leaves, dolma is called sarma. Kebap is kebap :) Greek pretzel is 'simit' sold everywhere in Turkey. Probably in Greece too. 3th row last photo; I saw 'sulu kofte' and surprised. 4th row 3th photo from the left; probably it's 'fasulye' and 'elbasan tava'..Loukomades is 'lokma' in Turkish exactly the same appearance. In the second row from the bottom I think I saw some aubergine salad and 'barbunya' (not the fish)...I missed our food HerE in London :((( There are a lot of similarities between our cuisines we lived 500 years together. Otherwise would be strange :)))
