I made this gondola for a customer in the UK. All Nickel Plate Maintenance of Way cars were painted gray, but since this car would have dual usage, I left it black. The interior of the car is real rust, done with an antiquing solution that when thinned really makes convincing scale rust. A rack was made from styrene forms to hold a turnout and piece of track for MoW work. It slips right out. Normally all my cars have cut levers, but this customer didn't request them.
Hello Mr. Jackson, I saw you had some painting done by Mr. Jim Drennan in Illinois. He has done painting for me in the past also. I have tried to contact him and do not have up to date information. Do you have a current address or phone number? thank you.
