I am a direct descendant of Robert Cheney. Robert was brother of the "giant" John Cheney who helped Henry Tudor defeat Richard III at Bosworth Field. John died in 1499 and Shurland Hall was inhereted by another Cheney brother, William. Shurland eventually went to William's son, Thomas (Lord Warden of the CinQ Ports) Great pictures.
