What a small world. My Aunt had a chalet on this site that my family and I stayed at.I became friends with one of the people mentioned in these comments, Mary as I remember lived in spa Road,Bermondsey.

I remember Ruth cooper my friend Margret glovers sister married her brother and had the shop up the road by the camp, I used to play for hours in the dyke at the bottom of the camp,back then there were I think it were beavers swimming there,they were lovely days!!!

Just found this photo I can't tell you all how pleased I am !!!! I remember Fred and Aida Clark and there kids was it Susan and Paul? We were the spinks with Jim and Nellie us kids were called Pam jimmy and Mary I think we was the forth from the bottom on the right the chalet was called spinko, I hated the toilet block as a kid as there was always daddy long legs in there !!!

My beloved chalet camp My grandad built these chalet With a polish fellow. Loved growing up and playing with Ada & Fred's grandchildren.

just come across the picture so good to see i am ruth mr coopers daughter i now live in margate my brother alan lives in the bungalow at the top i remember the happy days playing with the kid on the camp i think i remember your nan ada and fred clarke ask if they remember me thanks ruth

I cant believe this picture!!! my nan and farvs chalet is the fourth one down number 18. nan and farvs name are Fred and Ada Clarke and they have owned it ( and still do) for around 40 years. when was this picture taken and is there anymore of the site? kindest regards Jeff Osborne

I remeber as a child Mum, Dad and us kids going to stay at a chalet camp for holidays. Us kids would go and spend many hours....and pennies at the amusement parks. I remeber flying kites, that we would enevitably let go of, and Dad having to chase them across the wheat field next to the camp. It was so much fun. These photos bring back so many memories. sigh!
