Before we left Blue Town in 1952 we lived in Charles Street, which is the left turn just beyond the second street light. Running off Charles Street were School Lane and Sheppey Street. Charles Street ended at the Crisp Factory and East Lane.

Holborn Butcher's shop back entrance was in Charles Street, as was the Laundry's, Literary & Social Club and the Shirt Factory! I could draw a detailed map even now.

Since those days I spent many years in aviation, flying in and out of most countries of the world. In latter years flying the Royal Family and Govt. Ministers on long range flights; yet I shall never forget and always value my roots. The Tech School in the Broadway and a 5 year Dockyard Apprenticeship (Shipwright) was a wonderful education which made all things possible, even for a well-patched Blue Town boy !

I now live in retirement with my wife (Pat Wells) a Sheerness girl, in Yorkshire. We have been planning a return trip for 45 years! Who knows this nostalgic site of Trevor's may just be the push we needed!

Don't suppose I would recognise anyone, or anything; nothing stays the same!
