What a different world we lived in back then, almost every kid I ran around with wore a sheath knife quite openly yet I do not remember anyone being stabbed !!!

The Argosy was the only cinema game enough to put on a morning Saturday Matinee for the kids. We used to have to hand over all spears, swords , shields and guns to the usherette on duty and she would lock them in the Manager's Office until after the performance when we would all line up to collect them. It shows how unsophisticated we were because we all got our rightful weapons back and no-one thought to claim someone else's!

Is it OK to save some of the old photos to illustrate my family history ?
