I was born in this hospital in 1985, many visits to minor injuries and stay, I can still remember the lay out, the green floors. Shame its no longer there really

I was born in this hospital in 1938. My birth certificate lists "Cliff House Maternity Home". My sister was also born there in 1941.

does anyone know what the room is that has the small window situated between the two green drain pipes? the part that sticks out from the tower part of hospital on right hand side of photo, must sound very strange but I was drawn to that window the second the picture opened and feel that there is something that should be explained? can anyone help?

Wow the hospital pictures bring back memories... I used to work for the hospital radio station (Hospital Radio Swale. Our broadcast aerials used to up the top of the tower. Lots of ghosts - Never a truer word written. I recall several occasions of being visited by the odd spirit. The two that stand out the most were; While walking away from X-Ray, following the yellow line on the floor, for some reason I felt the compulsion to turn round and look behind me - As I did I black figure walked across the corridor behind me. I immediately walked to follow. Whatever it was had gone. I asked a few people about it - They said "You've met the nun then". Another memory was the time while in the hospital radio studio, records started to fly off the shelves... Now try to explain that one!

Yes, my Grandfather died in there for one. I got taken there at the age of 12 or so after I busted my arm in the school gym class. I got put into a ward with the men - half of them were dying!
