Yes, I think we are agreeing. This ain't the Silver Star or the Sheppey Queen. I never did see this vessel when I lived on Sheppey. It must have been way before my time.

Sorry Graham but it was the first Silver Queen owned by Reg Ablett and built by the Sittingbourne Boat Building company, I have a copy of the original order and a photo of the launch but sadly the pic is very faded.

I can believe this hull is the one named as the Sheppey Queen elsewhere on this sight, being restored now. But it is definately not the Silver Star or Sheppey Queen that used to ply the pleasure boat trade off Sheerness Beach.
