Quick visit to Lost Wages. One night walkabout, one day canyon/strip heli sunset flyabout. Heli plexiglass is not the best friend of lenses, but, you get closer to stuff than driving. So, I guess a compromise. Clarity vs Completely In Your Face vistas.

Yes, I use Auto ISO, limited to 6400. I set the minimum shutter speed to 1/125 as well, so it kicks in quite early on, but for handheld walkabout its better than the default of 1/60 which can give you blur when you shoot in a rush. Many walkabout/candid shots are one offs and I prefer a safer shutter with higher ISO.

Love all the shots in this gallery. The D700 and 20mm prime seem like a good match. Will have to get one for my D700.
