S L A C are a group of artists committed to creating a support structure and forum, which will facilitate the commercial development of unrealised talent in the South London Art community.
We aim to provide the opportunity for artists working in all visual media to develop, discuss and exchange ideas within the structure of a network of practitioners. By operating on a basis of shared resources and contacts, S L A C will provide the means to stage exhibitions at the huge number of spaces and environments in London, currently untapped as resources for artists.
S L A C’ s presence in the commercial art world will provide a centre from which individuals intent on careers in the Arts can be given guidance on marketing and management.
S L A C will operate from a permanent residence, comprising a dedicated gallery space and advice centre, with studio space available, where artists can come and develop their ideas, projects and techniques in the company of professional contemporary practitioners, who will be a source of aid, inspiration and advice.
