Norton Dominator 500

Visiting the car museum in Brussels, I went trough this Norton Dominator racer from the mid sixties. Featherbed frame, John Tickle front brake, a souvenir of my early racing days and I saw a lot of them on race tracks once. Note that I raced on a Norton Commando 820 made by Paul Dunstall in 1972. I still miss those bikes today.

There is a lie in those comments. Norton made it's last Commando modells in end 1974 with electric starters. Sorry for the deception.

A true classic, never manufactured with electric start.

nice - legendary bike - I remember competing against one of these in a standing quarter for street bikes back in about 1970. If I remember correctly I did about 13.9 secs and the ND500 did 14.0
