Mt Shasta Sierra Club Hut Door

Mount Shasta

To get into the Sierra Club hut during winters of deep snow one has to tunnel down, sometimes 20 feet, to get to the door. The hut was built in 1921, and will last for a 100 years or more. This is my view from my chair while I'm enjoying a Sierra Nevada beer, or three before my ski run back to the truck at Bunny Flat.
