North Face Oval Intention 1976

This is the first dome tent, based upon the Buckminster geodesic dome design formula. It is very heavy, over engineered, and the beginning of the freestanding tents that we have grown to love. Location is Lone Pine Campground, near Mt Whitney.

uh oh , i just scored another OVAL INTENTION , this one is all yellow except the tan panels in the canopy ------> i only got it because i have never seen another OVAL in this color -------> early prototype ? sir edmund hillarys old tent ? ? ?

NICE , BUT IS IT N.O.S. ? ? ? ? ? ----------> I JUST SCORED A NEW OLD STOCK UNUSED ---------> OVAL INTENTION --------> A DOCTOR HAD IT IN KENTUCKY ------> NEVER USED ----------> SAME COLOR SCHEME . GOLD . TAN , TAUPE -------------> I HAVE 3 OTHER ONES ------> SO THE N.O.S ONE IS GOING TO STAY ---> N.O.S. -----------> DOES THE NORTH FACE HAVE A MUSEUM ?
