Mirror Lake

Trinity Alps Wilderness

My first hike to Mirror Lake was from Emerald and Sapphire lakes. I went up the right side, and it was very difficult and not recommended. Camped 2 nites.

Spent a few days at Mirror Lake in Aug. 2004. Had the lake to myself the whole time. Came in from the Emerald and Sapphire side -- no one was camped at either lake when I passed. Had intended to climb up the right side to Mirror but at the last moment -- went left. Lot of boulder-hopping but seemed like less brush.

Extraordinary "high route" photos.
