Cupboard built into the hollow of a foxtail pine

Trinity Alps Wilderness

This camp was a miner's camp from the WW2 period when there was a great search and exploration into the Alps and Klamath Mtns for rare strategic minerals such as molybdenum and chromium. There's an old wood stove, and a mine shaft with tailings nearby. This quaint cupboard built into an ancient foxtail pine's hollow is a nice view of an earlier time.
