Potlogi Palace_the young soul of old ruins

The Potlogi palace, built by the voivod Constantin Brancoveanu at 45 km from Bucharest, at the end of XVII-th century, is distinctive for the romanian architectural style of the period. The entrance is located in the pavilion at the first floor, beneath being the entrance to the cellar. This palace is very resemblant to the palace of Mogosoaia, built by the same voivod, close to Bucharest.
The nowadays estate of this palace is that one of a ruin. Normally, most ruins are sad, at least from my point of view. But visiting this place together with wife and children made me think again about the meaning of the expression: to live a house. The girls loved the large communicating rooms, started to play hide and seek, they had a lot of fun and, suddenly, I realised that the old palace was actually alive. I tried to express this feeling by the means of this short photographic monography. I just hope I have managed to do it and you enjoyed the visit as I did.
Thank you for your time and (I hope) comments!
