Close to Bucharest, few kilometers North, there is one of the most beautiful examples of romanian renaissance architecture: the Mogosoaia palace. Built by the romanian king Constantin Brancoveanu as second residence in 1702, this palace combines traditional byzantine style with newly imported italian renaisssance elements, such as loggias. Located on the shore of Mogosoaia lake, the site is very peaceful and serene.
