Had a few hours to spare waiting for my next flight so I decided to explore a few of the side streets opposite the Bangkok International Airport. After negotiating a couple of dicey traffic crossings, I stumbled across a large indoor market around the corner form a Buddhist temple close to the Amari Airport Hotel. As Thai food is my favorite Asian cuisine, my mouth watered and taste buds were aflame as I saw afresh many of the ingredients that form some of the classic dishes that I have enjoyed in the past.
