The 12th Annual Pylon Racing Seminar was a huge success. Not one, but two P-40's came to fly around the pylons. We aslo got paid a visit by an F4U Corsair that sure looked sweet speeding around the pylons. A T-28 Tojan also came to play, and though not as fast as the others, this fine warbird was cool to see and hear flying around the race course. As for the little Unlimited Racer that can...Sherman and Czeck mate sure looked pretty racy. Unofficial timing put this incredible Yak 11 in the 472ish range. Way to go Sherman!! I am talking about noneother than Czech Mate!! I think that he served noticed that he plans to be in the hunt for a championship come September. Steven Hinton put in a lot of laps around the pylons in Stega. It was at last years National Championship Air Races that Steven became the youngest pilot to race at Reno. while at the same time "Tiger" Bill won his 7th championship in a master job of flying Strega aka "The Witch". Stega is in young Steven's capable hands now, and we all confident that he will make a good showing of himself in the coming months and years. I am sure that his family is proud of him, and I know that all of us fans are too. He's a sharp young man with a good head on his shoulders, and I wish him the best in all his aviation endeavors.
