I do enjoy looking at this tree. Your description is an apt one. My first impression was of a figure standing tall with all this body language —waving, beckoning, and flourishing. It's as if this tree has an attitude.
The framing and black and white treatment let the subject speak loudly, without distractions from competing colors or textures. Very nicely done. v.
