On May 20, 2015 at the US Capital Visitor Center, The American Fighter Aces were awarded with the Congressional Gold Medal. Nancy and Charlie, Craig, and I had the great honor to fly two American Fighter Aces, Commander Clarence Borley and BGeneral Steve Ritchie and their spouses to Washington DC for the presentation of the Congressional Gold Medal to the American Fighter Aces. They and along with 33 other Aces were award with their medals at the National Air Space Museum in WA DC. The Seattle's Museum of Flight organized volunteer pilots and aircraft across the country to transport the Aces and their families to Washington DC, hotels and travel to the ceremony at the US Capitol and the National Air Space Museum.
