After going down at the track in September '05 and then repairing the street bodywork, I decided I'd rather not pay to repair and re-paint it again. So, now the bike has street clothes and track clothes.
Hello racer, heres a comment you never expected, My name is James Hiscott, I am the original owner and founder of Cheetah racing Bodies, things you didnt know, I started Cheetah in my Garage back in 1995 in my garage with my father. I used nothing but aircraft resins and cloth I bought from Valocity aircraft, all my bodywork was made from epoxy resins, your 954 was the last set of molds I ever made for Cheetah Racing Bodies before I sold the business. I founded Cheetah racing Bodies in Sebastian Florida. The man I sold Cheetah Racing Bodies to moved the company to Mexico in 2004. if you ever want to know how to build your own bodywork let me know and I will tell you how, to build a set of bodywork like your 954 (after you have your molds done) to lay up and build it takes about 75 dollars in material, and a total of 12 hours of labor. Your bodywork is made with 324 epoxy resin and EZ84 hardener resin, the fiberglass cloth is 7725 with a twill weave. its primer is Urethane based. to build a set of molds for your 954 is not so easy and very labor extensive. cost would be around $2000.00 and tools to build molds is another $1500.00 however after that you can build any set of molds you wish for any bike you wish so after you invest about $4000.00 you are in business. The best way to build molds is to take a set of race bodywork that you really like, change it up a bit and make your molds off of them. ( for personal use of course) do to rights of the original manufacturer. if you wish give me a call, James and Michele Hiscott @ 425-344-5424. Ride safe and take care....
