El Carmen, it’s district, a small rural hometown of the black slaves that came from Africa in 1800 to work harvesting sugar cane. Is well known for their “Zapateo” a black barefoot dance where ladies perform nice body contortions to the rythms of percussioned sung songs played by men. A musical & colorful high contrast show.
