A UNESCO world heritage site, the old town (Vecriga in Latvian) is rich in diverse architecture, ranging from Gothic to Baroque to Romanesque to Art Noveau...!
Again, though, the vagaries of Spring meant an overcast sky during this walkabout we made through the old town and particularly the Art Noveau quarter....but Vecriga held many charms that will require a revisit, and next time, it will be to enjoy more than just Riga, but Latvia as a country, culture and people...!!
