...this is a volcanic crater filled by a beautiful emerald lake and a jewel on the Quilotoa circuit which is not to be missed. The circuit takes in grand and varied scenery and there are several lookouts from which one can enjoy spectacular panoramas of patchwork fields and tall grass...one can walk down to the lake...there is a 300 metre drop down from the crater rim to the water and there are gorgeous views to be enjoyed all the way down...
