The water here trickles into the (always running) ditch and then into Cascadilla Creek, and from there into the Cayuga Lake.. The lake then flows into the successor of the "Erie Canal" and then down the Hudson River to the Atlantic Ocean.
Wow, this is a really beautiful photo. Our snows are gone now, after a brief showing. Of course, I only have to drive about 65 miles to get to lots of it in the mountains. That's close enough. It sure is pretty stuff, but what a mess afterward.
Love the shot and really love the fantastic descriptions you provide. The orientation to where things are. For those of us who only dream of seeing New York, it's wonderful to have these markers.
I love this image.. You do very good work.. It reminds me of a place that I spent alot of time hiking with my dogs in prep for an Appalachian hike.. The woods are truly beautiful with a little snow.. Here is the location for one of my favorites that is similar.. V
