Capacity 50.4 Megawatts
Turbines Sixty three (63) Gamesa G53-800kw wind turbines. Turbine hub height is 213 feet with a 171 foot rotor diameter.

Great pictures of the Wind Farms. I actually built those in 2004 and learned alot about their operation. Minumun wind movement (20-30mph at 200 feet) will run the generator at full output with minimun maintainence. Anyway, a great gallery of photos... nice work!

Jennifer, I love your photos. Just drove through that area, saw the wind farm, but lighting was terrible for pics. Decided to look online and found yours... THANK YOU! BTW, info at http://www.windpower.com/projects_detail.cfm?ProjectID=19 says the output from the entire farm powers about 15,000 homes annually. Thanks, Tom

I like your shots, the pole, the height, the grace and the dynamics. I have visited some sites. Built two before the '73 oil embargo. What the hell is go'n on, w/ the auto industry too? The projections appear a bit high, most farms are rated on MW/YR. Typical single units are in 1.5 - 2MW range, and can probably support 500-600 homes. Hard to tell what you shot. If you know different let me know. I'll be learning all the way to the grave.
