The hike from the Delicate Arch Trailhead at Wolfe Ranch to the arch itself is 1.5 miles (2.4km). It is not a difficult hike. The route is level from the parking lot for a while, then starts a gradual, steady climb over sandstone. Most of the route is without difficulty or worry, but the last 200 yards or so has some exposure, as it is a narrow path blasted out of the rock, with a drop-off on one side. Then you round a corner, and there it is, standing proudly at the top of a curved basin. Some shots taken with the 20mm lens are cursed with a blurry, slightly-dark area; this was caused by dirt on the rear element of the lens.
