By reaching the parking lot I completed the loop hike. What had started out as a simple out-and-back
hike to the landscape east of the viewpoint turned into a satisfying loop hike.

In a truck in the parking lot were these two dogs, guarding their territory with vigor. (The truck's
window was partially rolled down.) The brown dog was quite vocal; the other subdued by comparison.
