That really is a weird shape, Dave.

At first glance, I thought Dave had finally become one with the sandstone and the hat was all that remained from the encounter. Which led me to consider that the sandstone has intelligence.

All these circular references are wearing me down. I notice whatever it is, it doesn't make an impression in sandstone.

Nothing unusual about the rock. Therefore I'm glad you mentioned the 'hat' because to me it looks like a very intriguing specimen of a not earth-related population. Although, I'm not sure. Maybe you could provide us a closer look at that really weird shape.

My hat's off to you for pointing that out, Tom. This particular device claims to have been made on Earth and closely resembles heavy-weight cotton (except for the sweat band, which is of some unknown fibrous material). And when placed upon my head it feels like the hat I have been wearing for a few years. It sends chills up my spine to know that I have been exposed to a covert information-gathering effort managed by who-knows-whom. An Earth-bound surveillance effort would not concern me as much as one originating from another galaxy. I hope we are not doomed. By the way, how did you learn of this sinister threat?

I've seen these small discs before at sites across the planet, to include Notner ... I believe they're markers, Dave. You were fortunate not to disturb them. You need to be more cautious and aware that 'they' are watching ...
