Sardine can was the only evidence of prior human presence

Silver Island Mountains, Utah

This empty sardine can was on the saddle of the ridge, my turn-around point.
The colored markings on the bamboo hiking stick are 12 inches (30cm) apart.

That sardine can is alive and well. When it was turned over, we found the typical "Kilroy was here" inscription only this Kilroy was spelled "Dave Breedon"

The tape was applied by something approximating a human.

And that nice bamboo stick with odd regular markings. Can you say for sure the presence was human, though?
