Steve, Knowledge is power. Divulging my methods would genrate "ooohs" and "aaahs" from impressed surfers, which would please me, but then everyone would be able to shoot pictures like this one. Better to withold the information in the interest of furthering my career as staff photographer for Donald Trump's new TV program "Zoo Parade Apprentice."

Great catch, Dave! Very cool the way the heron's neck echoes the forms of the lamps and the hoses. How did you get it to pose for you? Maybe he thought Joe was a distant relative or a potential mate?
