Foggy Colorado River from Arches National Park

Arches National Park (Moab, Utah)

Morning fog sits atop the Colorado River at The Portal (the shadowy gap in the cliff at
right). This shot was taken from the Moab Fault interpretive sign on the main road of
Arches National Park. Below the fog is a low, level hill: that's the pile of
tailings also pictured here: http://www.pbase.com/listorama/image/59893774 . Moab
lies in sunlight in the valley at left. The faint road at bottom is Highway 191.
This view is to the south, more or less.

A few minutes earlier I photographed the fog from a different angle (off to
the left in the distance): http://www.pbase.com/listorama/image/69824249 .
