Turner Hardware in Moab

If you are in Moab and you need an O-ring gasket for your camping stove, go straight to Turner Hardware. My trusty Optimus 80 stove, purchased in 1968, went bad on me in the Silver Island Mountains near Wendover, Utah: While it was heating water, flames suddenly issued forth from the filling cap. The cap's gasket (not the original one) had become so flattened that it no longer sealed properly. Turner Hardware had an O-ring gasket that fit the cap perfectly and solved the problem. Even the mountaineering shop I visited did not have such a gasket, but it was that shop that recommended Turner's (among other stores). Thank you for being there when I needed you, Turner Hardware!

I don't understand that, John. How do they expect to stay in business?

I took a 3 year old Canon flashgun to Canon UK (the very top) to be repaired.
Sorry this is obsolete, no spare parts.
Most companys here fall about laughing if you asked for spare parts for something 38 years old.

Dave, not that I will ever be there but it's nice information and shots like this that add flavor to your galleries.
