Enola Gay's hangar

Wendover, Utah view map

This airplane hangar was built to house the Enola Gay, the bomber that dropped the first atomic bomb on Japan in World War 2. The sign next to my car explains this; it is one of several interpretive signs in the area. Wendover was basically a military town during the war, with much training conducted here and in the surrounding area.

Very, very interesting. Modern, but still real history.
