Speedsters above a timeless landscape

Arches National Park (Moab, Utah)

During an exploration of sandstone terrain near the Delicate Arch Viewpoint, I was overcome
by a desire to document my presence "artistically." The two jets flying overhead (visible in
the ORIGINAL size image) lend an air of speed to this otherwise slow-moving environment.
The holes in the sandstone were made by sandstone woodpeckers (they have carbide-tipped beaks).

Joe Tripod was unmoved by it all, just standing silently for this picture.

These shots do seem to be a bit superior to your old camera's results...

Regarding the holes: my mission is to document and inform. It seems that I have been successful in this instance.

Nice vivid shot. And I thought the holes were made by diamond-toothed prairie dogs!

I agree with Lee. Nice shot.
You really shouldn't have left all those deep tracks on that mountain though. What the heck kind of soles are on those boots?
btw voted. Awesome.

Beautiful image. That new Nikon is quite the performer! It looks like Joe is happy to carry the Nikon on his shoulders.
