General Motors in two flavors

Wenatchee, Washington view map

The green Chevroley pick-up truck (at left, in the shadow) was made by the Chevrolet Division of General Motors (in Detroit, Michigan?). BNSF locomotive 2276 was made by the ElectroMotive Division of General Motors in LaGrange, Illinois.

BNSf 2276 was built as SLSF (St. Louis-San Francisco, the "Frisco") 421 in July of 1973. Became Burlington Northern 2276 when the BN bought the Frisco in November of 1980. Became the BNSF 2276 in 1996.
It was probably being used as the yard switcher or for power for the few remaining local trains that run out of Wenatchee.

None of us can know all. Teamwork is the answer. Renton and Putney together will solve the alphabetic riddles.

BNF, I am an expert on.
SFB, I have full comprehension.
BNSF, I have no data available for public use.
