This northeast slope of the Goose Neck was now acquiring greater prominence in my
plans because of newly-planted doubts about the north slope (at far right). The
long, light-colored talus slope seemed all right, if a bit steep at top, but the
cliff bands above it were intimidating. And how to get over to the left where
there is a grassy break in the upper cliff? It all seemed too scary. However,
I was not done inspecting this area: a hike taken later in the day (another
gallery) gave me the information I needed to make a fateful decision.
