Two moons (but not for Sister Sarah)

During the "Touch the Sandstone" scientific expedition to Utah, I was able to document this strange appearance of a second moon (faint; at lower center). Oddly enough, it was not visible to the naked eye; only through the lens of my Unbelievably-Advanced Photographic Apparatus was it apparent.

My first reaction was to think it was the result of lens flare, but I discarded that idea when the Unexplained Phenomenon Analyzer warmed up sufficiently to take readings. Based on those readings, I concluded that the faint orb is a "parallel moon," something well-known to those---such as PBaser John Cooper---who have spent their lives studying all forms of parallelism (example). Every time I witness an occurrence such as this one, I thank my lucky stars (pun intended) that I was trained in four-dimensional geometry, astro-optics, and advanced weirdness.

The sanitized story for public consumption is located elsewhere.

I cannot get the coded reference Dave, somebody stole our Enigma machine from a sinking submarine.

Yes, so did Howling Wolf. I wonder if double moons throw a wrench into wolf communications...

He who talks of moons and howling has such a way with words!

Dave. I got your very clever pun. It was a great movie. I saw it many moons ago and I still howl about it.

I just think it's pretty!
Is anyone here familiar with the movie "Two Moon Junction"?

Chempilot's decryption algoritm has unlocked the hidden message. But of course security concerns prevent me from making it public.

ah, yes. here's to your virtues...and especially your vices, Sister Sarah...

There is a slight connection there, but no cigar. Hint: Clint Eastwood.

Yes. It means your Catholic school years have not helped you in your current endeavors. Am I correct?
