At work in Kris Frederick's darkroom

This shot is from the first session of developing black-and-white film in Kris's darkroom. We developed about 24 rolls that day.
There were many more rolls to develop (see next photo)

Gary, you can probably deduce from my previous comment that I like to explain things at length. However, your question has an answer that is too horrible to contemplate, so I will avoid the subject entirely. I apologize to the world for exposing innocent bystanders to this gruesome concept.

What are those things?

John, in cases such as this, we have resorted to the use of four analysts to perform the work of one who is as capable as Professor Morrey. Three analysts sit in a line and the other faces them, keeping watch over their actions. Each of the three picks a letter in turn and writes it down. After the "last man in line" choses a letter, the observer one tells the first one to start over. They continue in this manner until they run out of letters to transcribe---it works very well. However, it is important to keep the transcribers from changing position in the line (due to boredom or agitation), lest the correct pattern of letters is compromised. True, it is a disadvantage to use so many analysts, but in "slack times" it keeps the maximum number of people occupied, which ensures a high level of morale. I could arrange for a certified trainer to visit your site to show you how its done; he will, of course, expect you to wear pink for the clandestine meeting, as that is the only way to be certain that you are who you say you are (we trust no one).

Dave, Professor Morrey is on an assignment in a foreign country.
When he gets back I will get him to decode your message.
He is the only one on the team who can count to three.

John, if you take every third letter of the picture's description and form one word (no spaces or punctuation!) with them, you will see that I am well qualified to promote disinformation when the viewing public believes I am telling the truth. Otherwise, you cannot believe what I say (which itself might be a ruse).

Dave, You have just failed your disinformationist exam. Unless this statement is a lie, in which case you have passed with honours.
