PBase technician at work--- during his vacation!

Here we see a PBase technician doing some emergency work for a person at a campgound
out west. A woman, vacationing in her motor home at this campground, suffered the
worst of all possible setbacks: her Wi-Fi connection failed during an intense PBase
surfing session. By sheer coincidence, this PBase employee was also on vacation AT
THE SAME CAMPGROUND and happened to overhear the moaning and cursing emanating from
the woman's motor home. He walked over to see if he could help. The woman, disheveled
and foaming at the mouth, was beside herself because her surf was no longer "up" (a
technical phrase meaning her Internet connection had been severed). As is typical of
the PBase service cadre, he volunteered his free time to aid the suffering surfer.
In this photo he is adding a software patch to the woman's laptop computer, which
allowed her to resume her surfing before she became catatonic from withdrawal.

Later, she asked the technician in to her mobile abode for a thank-you drink. A few
hours after that, the campground host saw the technician leave the motor home, with a facial
expression and a wobbly demeanor that suggested "service above and beyond the call of duty."

Your careful documentation is next to none. It is the best!

When they close this park for the season does the Pbase agent have to help flip the picnic tables?

They are for me even though the only time I am a baby is when I am exposed to a frightening precipice (fear of heights) or I get a flat tire. Baby wipes have a million uses, such as cleaning dirt off of one's hands and removing dust and food crumbs from a car's dashboard. After a day of hike-induced sweating, a few of them substitute for a shower when far from plumbing---just the thing to prepare for crawling into a sleeping bag. Baby wipes are one of the greatest inventions of mankind, as valuable as duct tape, blue tarps, headlamps, and personal computers. Unfortunately, used baby wipes end up in landfills. Even so, to travel without them is unthinkable.

Question: Are the baby wipes for you or for someone else? :)

Even on vacation, the customer comes first.

I'm very happy that Pbase takes such a broad and liberal view of service. Anything for a happy customer, right?

Management has its benefits, but they don't match those enjoyed by technicians. Variety is the spice of life---and of work in the field. You might say that the technician in this story had his batteries recharged as part of his daily routine.
