Budget cut-backs reduce amenities

The drive to keep subscription costs low has forced PBase to trim expenses
here and there. One way this is accomplished is by staffing some installations
on a part-time basis. At the office pictured here, the hours are severely
limited, as indicated by the leaning sign at left.

Another way of saving money has been implemented here: cutting back on the cutting of
grass. The weedy foreground used to be a beautifully-manicured lawn with fountains and
a pond. Old-timers can remember when one could see networking technicians pushing a
lawn mower or tending the garden when not on service calls. Sadly, it's a new world order
now, but subscribers can take pleasure in knowing that the megabytes are still cheap.
