When I took this picture I had just turned off of the Green River Trail in Kent. Seeing this 53-foot semi-trailer parked next to a warehouse awakened something in me. I was suddenly compelled to see if it were possible to ride my recumbent trike under it. I had never done it before, although I had thought about it (explained here: http://www.pbase.com/listorama/image/151932782 ). No one was around as I slowly approached, aiming for the area between the "53" label and the landing gear. I tilted my helmet-clad head slightly to the side and under the trailer I went. I was careful to avoid touching the greasy underside of the trailer. A right turn brought me back into the sunshine, unscathed. However, I had forgotten about my fiberglass trike flag pole---it dragged noisily on the trailer's underside as I made my passage. Since that occasion I have repeated the feat a few times at other locations at night (no flag used then).
Life is full of adventures.
