During a hike to a peak on Crater Island (northeast of Wendover, Utah), I discovered an adit in a hillside. It went straight into the hill for about forty feet. I got the feeling that it had been years, if not decades, since anyone worked at this mine. While I went in, Joe Tripod stayed at the opening.
