What caught my eye when shooting this was the shapes of thered rock and patterns of light and shadows. I ignored the distant scenery. But during editing, I noticed a freight train in the background---a pleasant surprise. The train is near the bottom of the light gray scenery at middle right, is 13 miles (20km) away, and is visible in the original-size image. This view looks about northeast from the Devils Garden area of Arches National Park.
