Lakeside Motel

Lakeside, Utah view map

Knowing that rooms at Lakeside (Utah) are hard to come by, I made a reservation long in advance. When I arrived, my room was waiting for me, but there were numerous annoyances: I had to steer around a thick rusty cable in the parking lot (where's the janitor?), the manager was nowhere to be found, I had to make my own bed because the maids were on strike, there was no complimentary soap and shampoo, the television reception was less than impressive---and there was no remote control!, the patio outside my room had the feel of an old industrial environment, and I was awakened at night by the sound of passing trains. Not only that, but the promise of "stunning lake views from every room" was a bit of an exaggeration, as I had to walk about 100 feet just to see the lake. This experience did nothing to endear me to the service industry of Utah.

It looks like my old friend Zorro has been here before you.

He put all his old CF cards on the tracks to expand their memory...

At least they left the light on for you!

Spacious, uncluttered rooms; stunning views; all-natural organic bath amenities. Walk to public transportation. Free breakfast for early birds. At night it's a billion star hotel. Looks like I can stay in marketing.

Looks like the price was right. ;-)

Aw, quit complaining. Looks like the room was clean, at least!

See what happens when you book your rooms on Priceline.com

I know how you feel, Little Buddy. I live in Michigan. It's about 100 feet to any lake.
