Ruddy-breasted Crake Chicks!

Got very lucky today (July 24th) as I was staking out the favorite hang-out of the shy Ruddy-breasted Crake in Masinloc, Zambales. I was rewarded not only with some pics of the bird in good light, but more astonishingly some photos of its rarely seen chicks!

While shooting the RB Crake, a male Greater Painted-Snipe alit in a rice paddy about 50 meters away from my hide. I had all the fun one can get with clothes on in clicking at the Snipe in very good light (just before sunset). A dragonfly in flight completes this fun shooting day.
