Striped Flowerpecker!

Fatbirder's Top 1000 Birding Websites

It was over two years ago when I got a blurry, documentary photo of this uncommon Philippine endemic, and that was possibly among the first photos of this specie ever taken in the wild.
Since then, I didn't see this bird again in the field..... well, until today....:)

These tiny, 4-inch beauties were feeding on a "Balite" tree at Mt. Makiling, about 50 - 60 feet from my position. For most pics, I had to snap on a 2x TC on the Sigmonster to make the bird bigger in the frame.
The low undercanopy light under overcast skies forced me to use high ISOs. But I'm quite happy with the results - the equipment didn't disappoint.
